The New Hoover Platinum Collection series are the creme de la creme of Hoover vacuums. Hoover has really gone above and beyond in the engineering and design of Platinum Collection. It is offering an unheard of, best-in-class 6-year parts & labor warranty on this vacuum cleaner.
The new UH30010COM Lightweight upright even comes packaged with a new small, lightweight, but powerful portable canister. The canister is ideal to clean above the floor, and for cleaning bare surface floors.
The Compact canister comes included with a dusting brush, crevice tool, as well as a bare floor brush.
Per test method ASTM F608, Hoover proves that the upright vacuum cleans more dirt in a single pass then any other lightweight upright on the market. This means more efficiency, and more importantly, less time vacuuming.
The Platinum Lightweight upright also has Hoover's patented WindTunnel Technology, which is helps in deep cleaning embedded dirt in your carpeting more efficiently, leaving more time for you to do more important things then vacuuming.
Hoover has designed a new bag specifically for this vacuum cleaner (Hoover Style Q Bag) which will automatically seal itself as the vacuum bag is being changed. That's right, no more face full of dust when you change your vacuum bag! The bag is even a HEPA Filter style, capturing 99.97% of all airborne particles, such as dust mites, skin cells, pollen, animal dander, and more. Not only will the bag seal itself, but there is also an electronic indicator that will alert you when it's time so replace the bag.
The compact canister also includes a HEPA filtration style of vacuum bag made specifically for this model. The canister uses Hoover Style I vacuum bags.
Unlike most other lightweight uprights which use a traditional flat belt, the Hoover lightweight upright uses a serpentine belt, very similar to the type of belt that is used in automobiles. This type of belt does not stretch over time, and should be good for the life of the vacuum cleaner.
The Lightweight upright also has a 2 speed motor with a low, and high setting. The lower speed is ideal for cleaning delicate area rugs, without having to try and straddle the rug to hold it down while you're vacuuming. The higher speed is best used for carpeting. Also, when the vacuum cleaner turns on, it slowly warms itself up, instead of coming on at full throttle like most vacuums. This will increase the life expectancy of this vacuum cleaner ten fold.
